Hey there! I'm Allison! I'm an artist dedicated to creating whimsical illustrations that evoke the joy and hygge (a fun little Danish word meaning "a quality of coziness") of everyday life as well as the crazy, chimerical, magical things that only exist in our imaginations. God has given each of us the ability to think outside of what we know to be possible. Through illustration, I can create beautiful new worlds and enjoy the beauty of the one I already live in.
Art has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. It started with abstract murals on the underside of the coffee table and elegant scribbles on my nursery wall. Any pen, pencil, or crayon that found its way into my hand was sure to be used to create something. Throughout the years, my love for art has only grown deeper.
My hope for every piece of art I create is that it brings glory to my Creator, inspires others to open up their imaginations, and helps everyone who sees it to see the magic that comes from simply existing here on this beautiful planet.
My main mediums are alcohol markers and gouache paint, but I haven't yet met a medium I didn't enjoy. I'm always experimenting with new materials and techniques, and I see each day as an opportunity to express myself in new and exciting ways.
